Northern Westchester Hospital Visiting Regulations
Visitors with colds, sore throats or any contagious diseases should NOT visit patients.
Visitors should maintain a quiet environment and avoid unnecessary noise.
Visitors may be asked to leave the room during tests or treatments or when the doctor or nurse needs to see the patient.

Getting Condition Reports - When a loved one is ill, it is understandable that family and friends want frequently updated reports of the patient’s condition. If at all possible, we ask families to designate one person to be the primary contact for information on the patient’s progress. In this way, the staff can provide full attention to your loved one’s care.

Bringing Gifts for Patients - Visitors should check with the nurse before bringing gifts of food or drink to patients. Also on the intensive care unit and behavioral health unit, please be aware of the specific rules concerning patient gifts.
