The Village/Town of Mount Kisco is governed by a Mayor and four trustees (one of whom is appointed Deputy Mayor by the Mayor at the beginning of each term). They are the legislative branch of Mount Kisco and are responsible for government administration, budget approval and taxes, appointing Village/Town officials and specialized board members. They also act as Mount Kisco's Board of Public Police Commissioners.
The Board of Trustees meets the first and third Monday of every month except in July and August in the Frank J. Dimicco Room of Mount Kisco Village Hall at 7:30 pm. Board meetings are open to the public and are taped for broadcast on local access cable television.

Village Manager: James M. Palmer
The Village Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of Mount Kisco, which
includes the acting as Clerk to the Board of Trustees and registrar of vital
statistics.
Village Treasurer: Thomas E. Warren
The Village Treasurer is in charge of the receipt, custody, and disbursment of
all Village/Town Funds. Treasurer maintains the financial reports and arranges
for bonds or notes authorized by the Board of Trustees.
Village Assessor: James M. Palmer
Responsible for preparing an assesment roll of all real property, vacant and
improved, within Mount Kisco, establishing the condition, value and taxable
status of each parcel of property. Assistant to the Assessor: Patti Tipa
Village Engineer: Michael Stein
The Village Engineer is responsible for all engineering work in Mount Kisco and
serves as consultant to the Village Manager, department heads, and the Planning
Board.
Village Attorney: Whitney Singleton
The Village Attorney serves as legal counsel to all Village officials, boards,
and departments, and represents Mount Kisco in legal proceedings.
Village Inspector: Austin F. Cassidy
The Building Inspector is responsible for viewing all plans for building and
plumbing installations, inspects, and supervises, and does all required tests on
same. The Building Inspector also issues required building permits and enforces
building codes.
Village Superintendent: Charles Pieragostini
The Recreation Department administers policy set by the Recreation and Parks
Commission, as well as overseeing all Mount Kisco recreational facilities.
Specialized Boards
Members of specialized boards are volunteers who are appointed to their positions by the Board of Trustees. To apply for an open position, send a letter stating your qualifications to the Mount Kisco Village Manager James M. Palmer. For the Planning, Zoning or Architectural Review Boards, call the secretary to the Boards.
Planning Board
Members of the Planning Board monitor Village development. They review site
plans and subdivisions of property and serve as consultants to the Board of
Trustees.
Zoning Board of Appeals
Board members decide on appeals for the issue of variances to the Zoning Code
and review all decisions relative to Village zoning ordanance.
Architectural Review Board
Members review all proposed building and renovations, awnings, signs, etc., to
comply with Village design standards.
Mount Kisco Justice Court

The judicial branch of Mount Kisco is served by two elected Village/Town
justices. Currently Justices Mark Farrell and John Donohue preside over Village
Court. The justices preside over the criminal cases pertinent to Mount Kisco.
The courthouse is located in the Richard A. Flynn Justice Complex, and court
sessions are held Thursday nights at 7:00 pm
